Insulation Products

EcoRoll is a wool based insulation that is compress packed and ideal for quick and easy installation. EcoRoll contains 75% wool blended with 15% recycled polyester and 10% polyester binder.

EcoRoll’s convenient compressed form reduces transport impacts by more than 50% compared to other natural insulations. Once unpacked, it regains its original thickness to provide excellent thermal and acoustic insulation.

Like all wool products, it is long-lasting, safe to handle and can contribute to a healthier indoor environment by acting as a moisture buffer and absorbing indoor pollutants such as formaldehyde in the building fabric.

Hemp is a fast-growing, low-impact plant crop that produces fine fibres suitable for insulation. Hemp, a blend of 60% UK grown hemp and recycled polyester, is a safe, efficient and durable alternative when plant fibres are the preferred choice.

Hemp is a plant fibre based insulation that is ideal for quick and easy installation. It contains 60% UK grown Hemp, 30% recycled polyester and 10% polyester binder with a high recycled content. Hemp is available 1200mm long slabs in thicknesses up to 100mm.

Hemp fits securely between rafters, joists and studs providing excellent thermal insulation performance. What’s more, with a density of 25 kgm-3, Hemp can provide great acoustic absorption.

Like all products, it is long-lasting, safe to handle and contributes to a healthier indoor environment by regulating moisture in the building.

Expanded Polystyrene (EPS)

– High performance partial fill cavity insulation and rain barrier

The impact on the environment of everyday materials is increasingly important if we are to reduce our carbon footprint and protect our natural heritage for future generations. This is why at Creative Space we try to use materials and production methods that benefit towards these wider environmental issues.

EPS (expanded polystyrene) is an excellent material for packaging and for construction as it is a light yet rigid foam with good thermal insulation and high impact resistance.

The characteristics of EPS make it ideal for us to use as an insulation product in our ‘Structural Insulated Panel’ systems.

The following properties are important for these applications:

Low thermal conductivity – Due to its closed air-filled cell structure that inhibits the passage of heat or cold, a high capacity for thermal insulation is achieved.

Low weight – Densities of between 10 and 35kg/m2 allow light and safe construction works.

Mechanical resistance – EPS has excellent mechanical properties making it good choice for load-bearing roof insulation, sub-pavement flooring, road-building, as load- bearing insulation, and so on.

Low water absorption – EPS does not absorb moisture and its thermal and mechanical properties are unaffected by damp, humidity or moisture.

Ease of handling and installation – The material can be handled in the usual way.You are guaranteed a perfect finish. The low weight of EPS makes it easy to handle and to transport to site.

Chemical resistance – EPS is completely compatible with other materials used in construction including cements, plasters, salt, fresh water and so on.

Versatility – EPS can be cut into the shape or size required by the construction project.

Ageing resistance – All of the properties listed above are retained over the whole of the material’s life and will last as long as the building itself. EPS is not altered by external agents such as fungi or parasites as they find no nutritional value in the material.

Lofts, floors, roofs, walls – your whole construction project will benefit when you specify WARMCEL as your eco friendly insulation. Offering unbeatable U-values, WARMCEL is manufactured from 100% recycled newspaper, sequestering carbon which would otherwise be released as methane at landfill.

This ‘Better than Zero Carbon’ status makes it ideal for those targeting Code for Sustainable Homes, and combined with its low material cost, ease of installation and other benefits (fire resistance, acoustic insulation, complete void fill (full fill insulation) etc) creates the best value, best choice, green loft and fibre insulation on the market.
